ESG Integration For A Better Tomorrow

ESG Integration For A Better Tomorrow

Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives by the Brigade Group

At Brigade Group, we’ve always believed in building a better tomorrow. Our projects stand out for a sense of responsible consumption of natural resources, while also having a positive socio-environmental impact. We’ve made sustainable design interventions, developed certified green buildings with reduced dependency and utilization of power, water and materials, adopted green power solutions and cut down our carbon and waste footprint.

From 2022, we are working on an absolute integration of sustainability into our core business and operations covering all processes and verticals by setting ourselves ambitious Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets. ESG represents risks and opportunities that will impact a company’s ability to create long-term value including climate change and resource scarcity, safety issues and data security, board diversity, executive pay and tax transparency.

We are focused on taking brand Brigade global by targeting a 5-star GRESB rating (a Real Estate scoring methodology) and continue to report on our ESG performance as per global standards.

The integration of ESG is an ambitious plan that requires brainstorming, strategic discussions and domain expertise. After multiple presentations, discussions, techno-commercial analysis, and peer assessment, we’ve decided to partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as our ESG consultant to take us forward in this journey. PwC is the second-largest professional services network in the world and has assisted organizations in understanding the impact and urgency of action on ESG regulations and helped make it an integral part of their corporate and business strategies.

Working with PwC, The Brigade Group will review existing ESG practices, initiatives and reporting, followed by a thorough gap assessment against voluntary and statutory frameworks. Based on this, the integration efforts will continue with policy intervention, development of dashboards, creation of user-friendly formats for better data collection and monitoring, conducting multiple technical and capacity building sessions for the team, establishing Net Zero strategies, supply chain management and communication strategies.
