The annual flagship event Propagate by Brigade REAP, focused on PropTech, highlights the pivotal role of technology in the evolving real estate landscape. Propagate 2023 was focused on driving innovation in real estate by promoting intelligent solutions that support positive climate action.

Nirupa Shankar, Jt. MD, Brigade Group, emphasized the significant growth of PropTech in India, with startups in this space accounting for 6% of all startups. PropTech startups have raised approximately US $2.9 Billion since January 2021, with a notable increase in funding for construction tech and sustainability solutions.

A key discussion featured Bengaluru’s real estate pioneers, Irfan Razack (MD-Prestige Group) and M R Jaishankar, who highlighted the unlimited potential of real estate in India. They emphasized the role of technology in accelerating construction, reducing costs, and enhancing sustainability amidst rising disposable incomes.
