The historic Vishwavidyala Vidya School has been transformed into a vibrant, future-ready campus with upgraded learning spaces and a new playground at its heart. The newly renovated 105-year-old Vishwavidyala Vidya School at Hosamane Circle, Chikmagalur, along with its transformed playground, was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Kota Srinivas Poojary, Member of Parliament; Shri H D Thammaiah, Member of the Legislative Assembly; Shri M R Jaishankar, Executive Chairman, Brigade Group; Shri Shivayogi Kalasad (IAS), CEO, Brigade Foundation; members of the donor family, school representatives, and other distinguished guests.

The project reflects Brigade Group's commitment to strengthening rural education infrastructure and creating better learning environments for students. The renovation has restored and upgraded the school's infrastructure to provide a safe, functional, and engaging space for learning. The existing building has been strengthened and refurbished, with classrooms upgraded with new boards, lighting, and fans. The campus also features a renovated kitchen, improved sanitation facilities for girls and boys, and enhanced water infrastructure.

Beyond the classrooms, the school now boasts a well-developed playground with a running track and dedicated courts for volleyball, football, and basketball. A pavilion, seating areas, amphitheatre, landscaped gardens, and upgraded entrance and boundary infrastructure further enrich the campus, creating a holistic environment where students can learn, play, and thrive.

CMD'S MESSAGE

A Few Thoughts

Last few months have been tumultuous to the world order. As if the ongoing four-year Russia-Ukraine war is not enough, Israel and the United States have waged a war on Iran, resulting in destabilizing the world to a greater degree. The West Asia war has created havoc in the middle eastern countries, apart from several countries who depend on petroleum oil, particularly India. Our leaders have to intensify the efforts to reduce dependence on imported oil by increasing green power generation and by successfully identifying more sites for oil exploration. The on-again, off-again war has made many economies very volatile and has resulted in huge uncertainty for businesses and industries, apart from pushing up cost of living to the citizens across the world. As non-layers in this ongoing mindless war, we Indians can only hope and pray for normalcy to return soon.
