Rehab on Wheels – Bringing Healthcare Closer
Brigade Foundation contributed to inclusive healthcare by handing over the “Rehab on Wheels” mobile rehabi- litation bus to the Association of People with Disability (APD).
The ceremonial handover of the keys was carried out by Mr. Shivayogi C. Kalasad, CEO, Brigade Foundation, to Mr. Sukhanto Aich, CEO of APD, in the presence of Director Mr. Pradeep Kumar Panja and other dignitaries from Brigade Foundation and APD, at a simple ceremony held at the APD premises in Bengaluru.
The specially designed mobile rehabi- litation unit will enable APD to extend essential rehabilitation and therapy services to persons with disabilities in underserved communities, brin- ging quality care closer to those who need it most.
This initiative reflects the shared commitment of Brigade Foundation and APD to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and dignity for persons with dis- abilities through innovative, community- based rehabilitation & outreach services.

A Few Thoughts
Last few months have been tumultuous to the world order. As if the ongoing four-year Russia-Ukraine war is not enough, Israel and the United States have waged a war on Iran, resulting in destabilizing the world to a greater degree. The West Asia war has created havoc in the middle eastern countries, apart from several countries who depend on petroleum oil, particularly India. Our leaders have to intensify the efforts to reduce dependence on imported oil by increasing green power generation and by successfully identifying more sites for oil exploration. The on-again, off-again war has made many economies very volatile and has resulted in huge uncertainty for businesses and industries, apart from pushing up cost of living to the citizens across the world. As non-layers in this ongoing mindless war, we Indians can only hope and pray for normalcy to return soon.
